Women’s History Month is celebrated all over the world in March. It is a time to remember female role models and trailblazers, as well as a time to honor women in all fields. Infinity Her’s team decided that this year, we would make a conscious effort to educate our distributors and customers about the women behind our cap names as well as the women who make the Infinity Her brand possible.

As a brand based in Northwest Arkansas, Infinity Her takes pride in naming our hats after women from the state who have made history. This idea of sharing the stories behind our caps led to the creation of the #InfinityHerStory initiative. This initiative focuses on highlighting the stories of our cap namesakes, as well as the women who contribute to making Infinity Her what it is today. Additionally, we are committed to supporting women-owned distributor businesses by giving away brand-new sales kits to women-owned distributor businesses through a social media giveaway. Our efforts honor not only our team members located in Northwest Arkansas but also our international factory partners, while supporting the industry as a whole.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, which takes place annually on March 8th, Infinity Product Group (IPG), the parent company of Infinity Her, recognized the contributions of women both within the company and in their external partnerships. To honor their female employees, IPG treated them to lunch at a popular local restaurant and presented them with small tokens of appreciation. The women enjoyed gathering together for this celebration, and the company emphasized their importance to its success.

In addition, IPG reached out to their female factory partners to invite them to participate in the initiative. Our partners, Gaohua, Tina, and Vivian, expressed eagerness and excitement to be involved in the International Women’s Day project. They also shared insights about their lives and passions with us.

Gaohua has been working with Infinity Product Group since 2011. In the over 15 years of collaboration, Gaohua has helped bring thousands of product concepts and designs to life. Without her expertise, the beloved hoodie animal blanket known as the Comfy Critter™ would have not become a reality.

Growing up in rural China, Gaohua’s large family of six lived in a 60-square-meter meter house. Hardworking and faithful, her parents did farm work and additionally learned other skills to advance their careers. At this time, Gaohua’s father worked as an engineer and salesperson, and her mother weaved in a textile factory. Later on, her parents would run a raw material factory, a weaving factory, and a grocery store.

From an early age, Gaohua made the effort to learn and help her parents with various work tasks. This enabled her to gain valuable skills that would help propel her to her job position today. After interning for her current company in 1995 and beating out the other male interns who started with her, Gaohua worked her way up, now being a valued shareholder and business manager.

Tina, another valued partner, has worked at her factory for 21 years. Being responsible for the everyday operations of her team, she leads a group of women who have a combined 55 years of experience at their factory. In regard to International Women’s Day, Tina and her team wanted everyone to know the contributions women bring to the workplace.

“Women are naturally delicate and friendly, which makes them play a strong role in team collaboration and promote efficient communication and cooperation among members. Women use their wisdom, courage, and warmth to reshape the workplace landscape. We offer our highest respect and praise to ourselves. Happy Women’s Day!”

Our partner Vivian wanted to let others know that every woman she has had the opportunity to meet through her work has possessed qualities that are valuable to every workplace: being elegant, capable, intelligent, and hardworking. She wished every woman around the world a happy International Women’s Day!

Every day, we get to collaborate with these incredible women and more. It is a special part of our jobs as Infinity Her’s mission is all about uplifting women with style and functionality. Without these hardworking and talented women, the Infinity Her brand would not have come to be, and IPG would not be the same.

Women around the world come together to honor and support one another on International Women’s Day and throughout Women’s History Month. However, it’s crucial to carry this spirit of empowerment and inclusivity beyond these designated times and into the everyday professional landscape. Companies need to ensure that the products and services designed for women not only exist but also genuinely address women’s needs and challenges.

Historically, the promotional products industry has often overlooked women, with options primarily created by men for men. This has left many women without suitable choices in basic product and apparel categories. Currently, only 19% of practicing industrial designers are women, highlighting the significant gender gap in this field. Karen Korellis, a contributor to the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative Social Impact Review, attributes the oversight of women’s needs to the lack of female voices in product design. When women are not involved in the design process, the result is a shortage of effective and relevant products tailored to their lives. It’s time to change this narrative and prioritize women’s needs year-round.

Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day serve as reminders to celebrate and uplift the women who shape our industries, communities, and workplaces. Through the #InfinityHerStory initiative, we have had the privilege of highlighting the remarkable women behind our cap names, as well as our dedicated female factory partners and team members. Their contributions, resilience, and creativity inspire us every day, reinforcing our mission to support and empower women in all aspects of our business.

While March provides a special moment to reflect on these achievements, our commitment to honoring and advocating for women extends beyond just one month—it is a year-round effort to foster encouragement, opportunity, and recognition. By continuing to tell these stories, we hope to encourage the next generation of women in promo to lead, innovate, and leave their own mark on history.
